Luca’s culture abhorred disturbing the dead, but he was always drawn to them. He secretly studied corpses alongside other physicians to gain knowledge of both how to heal the body, and how to dominate it. When he was discovered and tried for his crimes, he fled his kingdom and noble heritage, quickly falling in with new companions and seeking a new beginning, along with new research prospects. On the run from his past, Luca travels through the Rift in search of answers.
