Abandoning her culture's usual propensity for monastic pursuits, Kel'nïás explored the fringes of the wider world, eventually falling into the service of one particularly tricksy god, Vael. Then she died. In Vael's domain, however, she thrived in the afterlife, captaining a ship of wayward pirates until she came upon the Rift Walkers. Captivated by them in more ways than one, she took the chance to return to the mortal world and get back at the gods that forsook her.
